Private task

I think it would be good if there was a way I can have all my steps and reminders throughout the project without the client needing to see it, but still allowing them to get a top-line/overview of the project progress and collaboration/commenting on tasks marked for their feedback. Not sure if this is the best way to do it.
But currently it feels like clients can have complete access or barely any and not so much in between. And no way to have my full process unless I want a client seeing every minute detail of what I am doing on their work.

I would like this for team members too! I don't want my team members to see everyone else's tasks, too!

Agreed. This is a feature that Basecamp has, and maybe it can be tied into this planned feature: https://feedback.withmoxie.com/feature-requests/p/ability-to-select-permissions-for-team-members-and-collaborators.
But there may be tasks a team needs to share that the client doesn't need to know about or even care about. Handoffs, quality checks, etc. would just clutter the client portal. Internal team tasks should only be viewable by the internal team (or freelancer).

Me too! I have an additional project template that I add to a new client along with the actual project with deliverable. The project is set to $0/hour and includes tasks for onboarding and I can manually add other admin tasks there. This is especially important for tracking time and getting an accurate "actual hourly rate" analytic in Moxie. But it would be REALLY nice to be able to set that project to "private" so I could start actually utilizing the client portal and save myself some clicks :)

Totally agree here, Kirsty. There are a number of administrative tasks (e.g., "follow up with client about x") that I DO want associated with a particular project but don't want a client to see in their portal. It would be great if there were two different lists inside of a project or even a simple "Private?" checkbox that toggled visibility on and off.
