Giving the option to mark an invoice approved for partial payments would help me not have to ask for a deposit and then apply it to another invoice. Saves steps ~ faster workflow.

I think this could maybe fit into a payment plan feature. The full price is quoted on the agreement and then multiple invoices are automatically generated with the plan terms as the due dates (weekly, every 15 days etc). The deposit would be the first invoice in a series.
