Timer Reminder and Autostop
Chad Scribner
This one is two related parts but feel free to split it if need be.
The first part is a reminder for a running timer either through push notification or through email. Toggl has this functionality and it's very helpful for ensuring time accuracy and that you don't forget to stop a timer.
The second part is a configuration option for autostopping a timer after a defined amount of time so I know that even if I forget to stop it, the configuration will stop it.

I often come back to see I've left the timer running for 17 hours! Would be great if the timer could detect when there's inactivity or my Mac has gone to sleep etc. and then stops the timer.

I also forget to stop the timer very often. It's a great idea to have the reminder!

I use an app called On The Job which has automatic idle time detection built in. If you've left the timer running and walked away from your computer, On The Job will alert you when you return and give you the option of removing the time from your job.

Yes please! I was hoping to be able to stop using Time Doctor but I can't get by without the reminders from Time Doctor which prompts me if I've been inactive on my computer and auto stops timing after some inactive time

+1 for this – the IDLE feature on Toggl saves my butt constantly, same with the little "don't forget to track your time" thing.

Yes, a reminder or prompt if the timer has been running more a few hours (or parameter set by the user?) would be helpful. Both in those instances where I forget to stop it and when I get caught up in a project and lose track of time.
