No option to send receipt if invoice marked as paid from invoices list

If I have an invoice open on my screen and then mark it as paid, I get offered the option to send a receipt to the client. If I mark an invoice as paid from the list of the client's invoices by clicking on the 3 dots, the payment gets added but the option to send a receipt doesn't come up.
