Would love to be able to offer clients discounts off standard rates at the proposal stage. I have clients who come from institutions I am contracted with and I offer these clients a discount off my normal rate because of that special relationship. When sending one of these clients a proposal and contract today, I had to create a new service to be able to offer the discount, which was a challenge as I work by the word (so a 15% discount off .05 per word is .0425, but we lost those last two significant digits).
