When a project is created from a Project Template — whether manually from a client record, or via a workflow automation — the project settings (Client portal access, Client task visibility, etc.) carry over correctly from the template.
However, when a project is automatically created via an Agreement's "Automatically create projects" setting, this doesn't happen. The tasks from the project template are pulled in correctly, but the project settings are not — the new project reverts to Moxie's defaults instead of inheriting the settings configured on the template.
Why this matters:
This is easy to miss. The tasks look right, so everything appears to have worked. But the settings — which control what the client can see and do in their portal — are wrong, and there's no obvious indicator that anything's off. It means manually checking and re-configuring settings on every project created this way, which defeats some of the purpose of automating project creation from agreements.
Requested feature:
When a project is auto-created via an Agreement, it should inherit the full project template configuration — settings included, not just tasks — matching the behaviour of projects created manually or via workflow automation.
