It’d be awesome to be able to make different custom tags for different income streams (writing, yoga, reiki, etc) and even a tag for personal projects would be awesome so that people wouldn’t to use a different app for those projects. My personal projects often overlap with professional things so it makes sense to keep them all in one place.
This might also be a way to just add the client tag to the note or to-do.

I'd like to be able to categorize my tasks/deliverables by tags. Example, the task name is "Write sales email sequence" and the tag is "copywriting". The goal would be to see a breakdown of what kinds of tasks I spend the most amount of time on and how much I made for each.

Since the word is not mentioned anywhere on this post, I'd like to +1 this idea, but also specifically request Tags for "TASKS", among other ideas posted here. Maybe that was what the original poster was referring to, but just in case not, I feel Tags on Tasks would be a very helpful addition. I was about to post that myself, but then saw this post and decided to chime in. 😊

I've been wanting something similar to this too. If people could add custom tags they could use them any way they want. See all yoga clients, see all software development projects, see all clients who bought a certain product.
Also for categorizing "clients" - I'd like to keep all people I interact with in business in Hectic, not just clients. e.g. vendors, integrators, colleagues, etc. And if I'm using it for personal stuff too, family, friends, etc.
I was originally thinking of a "category" field, but with Tags one person can belong to multiple categories. Then you can filter your list by 1 or more tag.
